  • What should I bring?

    • Your photo ID (military/fire/police ID's required for discount)
    • $5 cash for parking
    • Appropriate footwear is highly recommended! You will get muddy
    • Spending money for food, apparel and merchandise
    • A signed copy of our participant waiver
  • What should I wear?

    It is in the tradition of the "mudder" for runners to wear the clothing that brings them the most power and endurance.  For some this will be running shorts and a T-Shirt.  For others it will be a super hero costume or a bath robe.

    Please keep in mind this is a family event.  All clothing must provide appropriate coverage.  You will be asked to change or add clothing if Mud-n-Fun staff feel clothing is insufficient or inappropriate.

    Appropriate footwear is highly recommended!

  • What do I get?

  • Where is my packet pickup?

    • Packet pick-up will be available on site and separated by gender, beginning one hour prior to the first wave of the day.
    • Your packet includes your race bib with safety pins and any other items purchased at the time of registration.
    • You will need your photo ID and to sign the participant waiver in order to pickup your packet at the desk.
    • For legal and liability reasons, individual packets can only be released to the participant.  Child packets can only be released to the legal guardian listed on the Child's registration form.

    *Race packets and materials must be picked up on site. They will not be shipped to participants.

  • How Do I Know My Race Time?

    You will receive your race time via email at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

  • Are spectators allowed?

    Entrance to the Mud-n-Fun Viking Run spectator area is free and open to the public. Cheering on runners and taking pictures in the viewing areas is highly encouraged. Outside food and drink is prohibited, but there will be plenty of options available for purchase. Personal tents and umbrellas are also prohibited, but there will be tables for public use.

    For safety purposes, only registered participants, event staff and approved media will be allowed on the race course.

  • What if I cannot complete an obstacle?

    Participants are not obligated to attempt or complete any obstacle, including water obstacles or crossings (the existence, location, and depth of such obstacles depends on the venue).  If participants are not comfortable attempting or able to complete any type of obstacle, they may go around it.  Although participants who skip an obstacle will not be eligible to receive an overall place or age-group award.

  • Are kids welcome at the MUD N FUN Viking Run?

    Children of all ages are welcome in the spectator area; however, please ensure that young children are accompanied by an adult at all times.  Children are also encouraged to enter in the kids obstacle course.  To compete on the big course, participants much be at least 14 years of age. Participants under 18 years of age on race day must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at packet pick-up to sign a waiver and release.

  • Is team registration available?

    Yes!  If you plan on running with a group and want to be in the same wave, one person can register up to 6 participants. For groups larger than 6, please submit multiple registrations. Please note, if you sign up a group of individuals, you become the registration group’s owner. Only the group owner may make changes to his/her group’s registrations.

  • What's the refund and transfer policy?

    As set forth in the waiver and release agreed to by each participant during the registration process, we do not offer refunds under any circumstance.

  • Who is MUD N FUN?

    Started in 2014 we are three buddies who like to stay physically active and want to share our love for the outdoors with our community. Come join us for the natural thrill and sense of accomplishment.

    Not only will we better ourselves and each other by overcoming the physical challenges presented by the course on race day, but we will also make a difference through our charitable donations.

    A portion of all sales will be donated to The Spirit Foundation, Inc.
